Henlo!
It’s been a minute and I’m sorry. Life has been dealing with me but I’m here now and September hasn’t ended so we’re still on track.
Unfortunately, I’m going through a severe case of burnout so this newsletter might be a little short and lacking my thigh-slapping sense of humour but let’s go live 🚀🚀! (can you guess where I work?)
Today, I’m sharing footwear with you, particularly slippers, slides, and mules hence the razz caption, sorry, not sorry.
Watch this for some context and don’t beat me 😂😂
But, I digress…
The good news is, I’ve tried all the vendors I’m going to share with you so you can order without fear, oh, and there’s no bad news, Now, in no particular order, here are a few of my faves!
Soles and Shades
This brand makes mostly corks, so think accessible Birkenstocks. That’s the best way I can describe them, accessible because you can buy them locally and you don’t need to worry about international shipping. They’re also really durable and comfy - good enough to do a lot of things in such as evening walks, drives etc.
Oh, they’re a unisex brand.
Edit: In their recent drops, they’ve included a variety of styles including thongs/flip flops. These are flatter, I haven’t tried them yet but going by what I’ve seen them produce, I expect them to be top-notch
Sola Soles
You know those slippers that you just find yourself wearing every time? That’s what Sola Soles makes, they’re slippers are really comfy and light. You basically forget that you’re wearing them. They have a lot of great styles in a variety of colours so there’s something for everyone.
Prices from NGN 4500
John and Joan
Another unisex brand!
They have two pages, for their female line and the male line. I’ve only ever shopped from the female line (for obvious reasons) but I can categorically tell you that their shoes are solid. They have really unique styles in a range of colours.
My only hangup with them is that their sizing feels a little off, so where I’m a size 39 with every other brand and the size 39 fits properly, the shoes I got from them are a little big.
Ama.Ren Label
Ama.ren makes mules in a ton of different colours. The shoes are made to order like most other brands but what sets them apart is that they allow you to build your shoes (that’s what I like to call it). Unlike most other brands that have a number of styles and colours per season and stick to it, they allow you to choose colours, heel heights, heel type, shoe cut etc.
What’s more, there’s no size limit.
The Lumi Brand
They’re probably my fave of the lot. They make really unique pieces with very beautiful colours and they often incorporate fabric like damask in their designs. The shoes are very very comfortable so you can wear them all day and not feel a thing, can you really beat that?
Prices from NGN 10000 (last I shopped)
And it’s a wrap!
Thank you for hanging with me!
Have you tried any of these brands? What was your experience? Is there any brand you think I should check out?
I know I probably sound like a broken record now, but thank you for reading to the end and see you in October ❤️😊
I want to try soles and shades. thank you for hooking us uppp.
You don’t sound like a broken record 💃🏼 I actually love your endings
